SMOOK ARCHITECTURE

This design was for conversion of a warehouse into 420,000 square feet of space for use as an “Internet Hotel”- a location for internet service providers to use as a switching hub. The original building was built at the turn of the century and had served several uses, the most recent being a storage facility. The construction called for stripping the building down to steel, the addition of another floor, the construction of a new addition in the front and recladding of the building in cast stone and glass
