Residence, Long Island, New York
The beachfront residence was designed for a couple and their
three grown children as a vacation retreat. Although the design leans towards
the traditional, interiors are open and spacious and expand towards the view.
The house is a flip flop design with the main living levels on the second floor
to assure long views of the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Each of the rooms on the main
living level is defined by unique treatment of the ceiling planes. Bedrooms are
cozily tucked below – nestled into the sloping landscape.
